How do I direct a HTC Show?

Every Spring/Summer we open up the Director's Application for the following season (Fall - Spring).

Each applicant should have some ideas of (or be open to thinking about) what show they would like to direct and why, an outline of a budget required and production schedule, and a team. If that sounds daunting, never fear! We are all here to learn through producing shows and are happy to help guide you if you find yourself stuck.

The application process is followed by interviews, after which we select
3 students to direct our next season of shows.

How else can I be involved?

The world of theatre involves more than just acting and directing! Our events offer oppotunities for you to try your hand at putting up a production, including writing (Undergraduate Playwrights Festival), and design and production (Technical Theatre Workshops and summer camps, or signing up to the production team on one of our shows). That said, we as artists are always looking to collaborate in new ways. If you have a skill you would like to contribute to a performance or production, get in touch!

How do I join HTC?


Our primary goal is to function as a student-run theatre company. This means that the best way to get involved is to work on one of our shows or attend one of our events throughout the school year.
 

So, while we don't require official sign-ups or mandatory attendance at events to be involved with the theatre club, here are a number of ways you can stay updated on our events and be part of the Hunter Theatre community:
